 Welcome to another edition of Mostly Summer Starting this hour with a few from the year 1982, then featuring some artist’s you know and some not yet, tracks you know and some you may not, then a varied selection of new ones, and some from album’s released earlier this year that you and I may have missed, plus the odd gig guide

 Industry Standard is a 1982 album by The Dixie Dregs. It is their only album featuring vocals (by Alex Ligertwood of Santana and Patrick Simmons of The Doobie Brothers on one track each), Simmons sang on and co-wrote “Ridin’ High”. They were used as the theme tune for Tommy Vances Rock Show Radio Program instrumental “Take it Off the Top“,

Brighton‘s Michael David Rosenberg aka ‘Passenger’ (the name of his defunct folk band) has been solo since 2009 and has released eight albums, with the ninth on the way for release on 31st August.

Ben Poole – “Found Out The Hard Way” from album Anytime You Need Me

He’s a British blues-rock musician who released his first studio album in 2016. This is the follow-up, which is set for release on 14th September. He’ll then be off on a 14-date UK tour in November and December.

Jason Mraz – “Love Is Still the Answer” from album Know 

An American singer-songwriter who first came to prominence in the San Diego coffee shop scene some 18 years ago. His sixth album has just been released (10th August).. His name is pronounced as MARAZ.
