tenth studio album. Originally set for release to coincide with the band’s 25th-anniversary in 2020, the tour was cancelled and the album delayed until 5th February this year.
W.E.T. – “Got to Be About Love” from album Retransmission
Here’s another strong song from the melodic rock project’s up and coming fourth studio album. The international line-up is fronted by American vocalist Jeff Scott Soto. The release date is 22nd January.
Pale Waves – “She’s My Religion” from album Who Am I?
An indie rock outfit from Manchester fronted by singer/guitarist Heather Baron-Gracie. Formed in 2014 when Baron-Gracie met drummer Ciara Doran, they were initialled named Creek before adopting their current name. The band’s second album will be released on 12th February.
Mark Bryan –”A Little More Rock ‘n’ Roll” from album Midlife Priceless
The guitarist for Hootie & The Blowfish will release his fourth solo album on 2nd April. This song’s style is Americana/country-rock and not overly representative of his music, which is wide in its scope. Originally from Silver Spring, Maryland, he later moved to Charleston, South Carolina, where in 2001 Bryan founded Carolina Studios, a local nonprofit after school music recording and technology program that helps children ages 8–18 thrive in music and the arts.

Petric – “Kids” from album Flashbacks
. They are a Canadian trio, originally a duo, consisting of brothers Tom and Jason Petric, who are now joined by guitarist Jordan Day. Fairly light country-rock. Album out on 13th January.
The Michael Schenker Group – “Sail The Darkness” from album Immortal
Here’s another from the German guitar ace’s next album, from which we have already featured ‘Drilled To Kill’. The release date was to be 5th January, but has been pushed back to the 29th January.
Zane Vickery – “Scales” from album Breezewood
An American singer/songwriter from Beaufort, South Carolina, with a track from his forthcoming debut album, which he says contains ‘stories infused with nostalgia and hope’, and boy do we need some that. The release date is 29th January.
Remedy Drive – “Lovely” from album Imago Amor
An American alt-rock band from Nebraska, but now based in Nashville. Formed in 1998 by the four Zach brothers David, Daniel, Philip and Paul. However, as is often the case with brothers in a band (think Oasis and Black Crowes) sibling rivalry gets in the way, and in 2010 three of the brothers quit, leaving David Zach to reform the band. Their seventh album will be released on 29th January.
William the Conqueror – “Quiet Life” from album Maverick Thinker
A project band formed by Scottish singer-songwriter Ruarri Joseph in 2016. This will be their third outing when released on 5th March.

Kings of Leon – “The Bandit” from album When You See Yourself
The American rock band, manned entirely by the Followill family (four brothers and their cousin), return on 5th March with what will be their eighth studio album
. The Stan Laurels – ”Tomorrow” from album There Is No Light Without the Dark
Essentially a vehicle for Austin, Texas singer-songwriter John Lathrop, this is the fourth album to be released under the ‘Stan Laurels’ name (I hope the late comedy actor’s family don’t mind). The release date is 23rd January.
The Fratellis – “Action Replay” from album Half Drunk Under a Full Moon
The Scottish band having been trying to get this album out of the door since May of last year. At the time we featured “Six Days in June” off it before the album was put on hold until such a time as they hoped to be able to tour again in support. Even now they have just cancelled their preposed US tour slated for January and February. Anyway, the new release date for their sixth studio album is 9th April.
Thunder – “Going to Sin City” from album All the Right Noises
The London rock band were formed back in 1989 out of the ashes of Terraplane, which split the previous year. Since then they have gone from strength to strength, releasing twelve albums, most of which have done well in the UK album charts as well as in Germany and Sweden. This their thirteenth album will be released on 21st March.
