Mostly Summer Playlist w/c 3rd May 2018

Welcome to another edition of Mostly Summer Starting this hour with a few from the year 1972, which was another of my musical education years.

 Hour 1

 Living in the Past is a double album quasi-compilation collection by Jethro Tull, The album was named after the single released in May 1969

Track: Inside, originally released on the Benefit album released in 1970

 Manassas is the 1972 debut double album by Stephen Stillsband of the same name.

Track: Both of Us (bound to loose) with Chris Hillman on Vocals

 Jackson Browne is the debut album of singer Jackson Browne released in 1972.

Track: A Child in these Hills

 Eagles is the debut studio album by the rock band the Eagles. The album was recorded at London’s Olympic Studios with producer Glyn Johns and released in 1972

 Sailin’ Shoes is the second studio album by the American rock band Little Feat, released in 1972

Track: Easy To Slip

 Courtney Barnett is an Australian singer, songwriter and musician. Known for her witty, rambling lyrics and deadpan singing style, she has a new album out in May “Tell Me How You Feel” a single from this. Appearing in Bristol on 5th June

Track: Need a Little Time

 Carousel A youthful four-piece band from Southend On Sea, a new single release from them

Track: My Fathers Son

 Hatti Briggs has just released the 2nd of  5 singles which she is planning this year to coinside with some mini tours she is planning

 Howard Sinclair singer song writer based in Cheltenham, is planning a new album here is a taster track

Track: Lunatic Desires

 Stephen Ellis  is an English rock / pop singer, who now lives in Brighton. His biggest success was with the band, Love Affair. They and he are most well known for the songs “Everlasting Love“, “A Day Without Love”, “Rainbow Valley” and “Bringing On Back the Good Times”.

After taking a break from music he now on his 3rd album, Boom Bang Twang

 Tom Rush  is an American folk and blues singer, songwriter, musician and recording artist.

His 28th album is out shortly, Voices

 Royal Wood is a Canadian singer-songwriter, record producer and arranger based in Toronto, Ontario Ever after the farewell is his 8th full album

Track: Nightingale

 Lucid are a band based on the Isle of Wight, there latest album This Loneley Town

 I’ll Be Your Girl is the eighth studio album by the American indie rock band The Decemberists, released on March 16, 2018

 Seventh Sojourn is the eighth album by The Moody Blues, released in 1972.

Track: The Land of Make Believe

 Something/Anything? is the third album by American musician Todd Rundgren, released in February 1972. It was his first double album, and was recorded in late 1971 in Los Angeles

 Caravanserai is the fourth studio album by Santana, released on October 11, 1972

Track: Song of the Wind

 Homecoming is the second studio album by America, released on November 15, 1972

 Embrace are an English alternative rock band from Bailiff Bridge, West Yorkshire Love Is a Basic Need is the seventh studio album
